It is located in the village of Skibotn. The chapel is part of the Storfjord parish in the Nord-Troms deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white wooden chapel was originally built in 1895 and has been remodeled and enlarged several times since. The chapel was consecrated on 22 Jun 1931 by the Bishop Eivind Berggrav.
